Mission Accomplished; we got you dancing.

Saturday night was the first Northern Soul Night held at the Coppertops in Worcester for a fair few years, we didn't fail in our aim to play solid Northern Soul & Motown.  The Worcester crowd of about ninety easily slipped into the groove and seemed to ask in the whole for rarer Motown and 70's Modern, not that we played that style all night but if your asking then we're playing.  We think the balance was alright, the only notable exception was the missing legend that is John Farrell, John had a family 'Do' to go to so missed out, he'll have to work twice at much at the June event!  The dancefloor turned out to be better then expected, it was an original flooring from a church hall that was knocked down in the sixties and re-used at the Coppertops, that's what we like, recycling the old.   Don't forget - June 11th is the next SoulNite.

'Nice to see you on the night' shout's go to Donald from Stourbridge, Floydie & Tracy and Charlie from Broadway , all make the trip over.  The Malvern Crew of Dave, Judi, Ness, Diane, Dawn, Ray & Ang.  Faces from Worcester included Roy Charles, Steve Picker, Phil Smith and Malc Jones; all of course coming with large groups of friends.  Plus Mr T from Kidderminster, selling CD's, records & mag's etc, he'll be back with more in June.

Cheers & keep it Soulful; Steve

Photo's taken by Vanessa, she suddenly remembered at 11:30 that she had the camera in her bag and with it being the first time she'd used it there not that bad.
